When we live in a given city we tend to leave certain things to do or places to visit for later as if we had whole life to make it happen - not thinking our lifes are changing and we never know how much time we have left to spend in that place. I'm sure many of you do the same, don't you?

Living in Lisbon was a dream to me, what I love about it are the long summer season, great weather, stunning views, beautiful sunsets, relaxing athmosphere around the city. Now that I don't live in Lisbon I appreciate it even more and trully miss it.

Whenever we go back we try to discover something new, be it a restaurant we've never been to before, a viewpoint, a street we've never walked through. Last September we decided to visit the church of Sao Vincente de Fora and see the city from a different perspective. It is the building with 2 towers you can see on the picture below. It was built in the 17th century and also serves as a monastery and the final resting place to some of Portugal’s monarch families.

Look at the beautiful view over the National Pantheon and the river.

At the end of our walk we stopped by Alfama Memmo Hotel to get refreshed with the aperol spritz at their rooftop bar and enjoy the stunning view.
